Indigenous Mexican American baritone Ethan Vincent will open the 2026–27 season by making a role and house debut with The Florentine Opera as Giorgio Germont in La traviata, conducted by Kensho Watanabe and directed by Katherine M. Carter. He then makes his debut with the Metropolitan Opera as José Castro in a new production of La fanciulla del West by Richard Jones, with Keri-Lynn Wilson on the podium. Ethan will join the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra as the baritone soloist in Brahms’ Ein deutsches Requiem, conducted by Aram Demirjian, before revisiting his acclaimed rendition of Carmina Burana with the Winston-Salem Symphony.
