Indigenous Mexican American baritone Ethan Vincent opens the 2025-26 season by returning to The Metropolitan Opera to cover the roles of Salvador Dalí in Mason Bates’s The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay under the baton of Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin and stage direction by Bartlett Sher as well as Schaunard in La bohème with Keri-Lynn Wilson on the podium. He will make his Opéra de Montréal debut singing the role of Escamillo in Carmen as Jean-Marie Zeitouni leads the Orchestre Métropolitain with stage director Anna Theodosakis before making a role debut as Figaro in Il barbiere di Siviglia with Charlottesville Opera. He also joins both West Virginia Symphony and i Cantori di Carmel as the baritone soloist in Carmina Burana. Last season, he sang the title role in Don Giovanni for Virginia Opera…
